is that true? my cousin says this to me sometimes. well i suppose any relationship between two people will be filled with disappointment. scary to think that you are putting so much trust in people who are bound to disappoint.

Not true, not true, not true! My hubby does everything possible to make me happy, if he knows what it is! In fact, sometimes making me happy isn't the best course of action and I have to discourage him. Now, he doesn't think like me, but that is not his fault - that is life. Men are truly a gift from God to humankind, and we should not allow popular "man-bashing" in our culture to tell us otherwise.
