this makes my heart ache for new york. is it possible to love a city this much and never have even lived in it?

the blogger kate from for me for you moved to LA and I'm having a hard time reading her blog now. it just makes me sad. her blog helped me feel in touch with new york while living in DC and now it's just filled with palm trees and sunsets and warm weather. it's not the same. but you know, maybe this is the best way to enjoy new york -- from afar. friends of mine who live there go on and on about how hard it is -- so much crowding and trash and cost and etc. maybe you can only really enjoy it when you don't have to deal with it every day.
but how amazing is this timelapse vid? stunning, yes? via the daily dish.

thanks for this, jeannie. there's no question - i always had mixed feelings about living there. it can get you high, and it can get you low.
