Happy Thanksgiving!

my thanksgiving was spent in all the right ways: family, a new baby, delicious food, etc.
grant continues to amaze us all :)

storm king!

a couple of weeks ago, Chris and I found ourselves at a huge 500-acre sculpture garden in upstate new york called storm king. Chris had visited several times while on field trips growing up but i'd never even heard about it until recently.

at the visitor's center i read that the founder created storm king because he wanted to make a sculpture that resembled a pad of butter melting down the side of a hill. his vision never came to fruition, thank goodness, but what is there today is pretty phenomenal!

We also had some fun in NYC that very weekend. Here's a big photo dump for you.

i take terrible photos, especially now that a double chin has started creeping its way onto my face -- but i always look pretty with a baby in my arms!

i'm serious ... babies are my best accessory -- especially our miracle baby, GRANT RO!!!! Whoo hoo!

after much internal debate

i've determined this to be completely awesome.



just to prove what a dorky fan I am, I have to point out that while this is a really different sound from sufjan's more recent albums (michigan, illinoise, supercomputer), one of his first albums (enjoy your rabbit, 2001) was completely electronic.
